I think it was done in a Gary Larson Far Side cartoon, although I'd be hard pressed to give you a date. Probably some careful Google searching would pull it up.
If it is, I'm sure his lawyers will contact me long before I find his cartoon online...
Yeah, no Farside online! He's very particular about that.
