I'm a geochemist. My main interest is in-situ mass spectrometry, but I have a soft spot in my heart for thermodynamics, poetry, drillers, trees, bicycles, and cosmochemistry.

Outback sunrise
There aren't a lot of clouds in the outback, but the few we see sure can be pretty. Click for full-size image; some of the details are worth seeing.
That is a beautiful picture. I've only ever been to australia once (unfortunately) but the one thing I remember was that everything spelt of gum and there were some very veyr beautiful areas. And that my mum went over the harbour bridge in sidney :)
