Dullest geomap ever
How'd you like to do a field project on this 1x1.5 degree mapsheet?
I'm a geochemist. My main interest is in-situ mass spectrometry, but I have a soft spot in my heart for thermodynamics, poetry, drillers, trees, bicycles, and cosmochemistry.

You mean like counting the grains of sand?
Better than hauling equipment over hilly terrain, that's for sure. Nothing to impede a nice, regular array of instruments... Those cross-sections only go down a few km, there might be interesting ancient history underneath.
Well, it does have dunes..... up to 30m high sand dunes (and many km long). Which were huge to my 7 year old eyes.
What's the contour interval on that sheet?
There are no contour intervals, but the 100m contour should cut across the NW corner. If you want to read the text, the high resolution version of the map might be easier on your eyes.
